Steam engine power is perhaps the most remarkable survivor at the brewery. The 25hp steam engine still drives essential parts of the machinery used in the brewery, just as it has done for over a hundred years. Installed in 1899, it is believed to be the last steam engine in the country still in daily use for its original purpose.
